Reviews and Ratings
The hotel rooms were huge and felt almost like a small house, complete with en suite bath & toilet and a very good view from the window. The service was very friendly and helpful, although there were some language barriers. The location was the best, situated alongside a riverwalk in a gorgeous part of the region, between the Alpine-route at Ogizawa and Shinano Omachi Station. The dining experience was satisfactory, featuring a great buffet dinner and breakfast in a beautiful quiet area, although slightly pricy.
The hotel is conveniently located between the Alpine-route at Ogizawa and Shinano Omachi Station, offering a cozy and spacious room for three adults, though lacking nearby activities except for bus transport. The service was extremely helpful, swiftly addressing any complaints. The styled dinner with local food was enjoyable but lacked local attraction suggestions.
Staying at this hotel was a delightful experience. The rooms, although somewhat dated, were exceptionally clean and offered a unique traditional Japanese style, creating an interesting contrast. The staff provided very close and helpful service, including preparing our futons, but lacked suggestions about local attractions. The location was superb, near the bus stop for the Alpine Route and boasting a picturesque riverwalk. The dining experience was sumptuous, with a buffet that exceeded expectations, though it could get crowded. Despite some areas for improvement, this hotel offers excellent value for money.
Staying at this hotel is like experiencing a fascinating blend of traditional Japanese style with some drawbacks. The rooms, while spacious and offering a good view, have a downside of a smelly hallway. The service, although hindered by a language barrier, is helpful, especially with luggage transport services. The location is perfect, being near Alpico bus station and convenient for exploring the Kurobe Alpine Route, but the walk from the bus stop to the hotel might be tiring. The dining experience, although varied and suitable for vegetarians, might not match the promotional images. Overall, a unique stay with its highs and lows.
I found the hotel to have spacious and clean lobby areas, but the rooms fell short of my expectations. Despite the discrepancy between what we thought we were booking and the actual room size which can sleep up to five persons, there was a noticeable difference in cleanliness and spaciousness. The staff, although spoke very little English, overcame the language barrier with their helpful and friendly demeanor. Unfortunately, they did not provide any suggestions about local attractions which was a bit of a letdown. The location, although near the bus stop and Omachi Onsenkyo Station, was a bit confusing as it was not clearly described in the write-up. The lobby area is good for conveniences but lacks the same standards further beyond. On the bright side, being close to the bus station and strategically positioned between the Alpine-route at Ogizawa and Shinano Omachi Station added value. The dining experience was a wonderful surprise, especially after enjoying the onsen bath, offering exquisite local food with dish names and diet restrictions in English. However, the spread in the promotional images may have set the bar high, and the absence of chocolate croissants was a miss. The facilities were satisfactory, although not exceptional.
